Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what PictoPDF (published on the App Store as "PIC to PDF" / "Photo to PDF: JPG PNG Pics") does with your data. The short version:

Your photos, scans and PDF documents never leave your device. The app sends us anonymous usage statistics, and subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not show ads, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell data.

1. YOUR DOCUMENTS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE

• Photos, scans and PDFs: Everything you pick, scan or convert is processed and stored on your device only. It is never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else.
• Text recognition: Recognising the text in your documents (so that PDFs are searchable) happens on your device. The recognised text is not sent anywhere.
• Document names: The names you give your documents stay on your device.
• No user accounts: The app does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.

2. ANONYMOUS USAGE STATISTICS

To understand how the app is used and where people run into problems, the app sends usage events to an analytics server that we run ourselves. No analytics company or advertising network is involved.

What is sent:

• What happened in the app: for example that the app was opened, which introduction screens were viewed, that the subscription screen was shown, that a purchase was started, completed or cancelled (with the identifier of the plan, not the amount paid), and that a PDF was created (with where the pages came from, such as photo library, files or scanner, and the number of pages).
• A random installation identifier: a random number generated by the app when it is first opened. It is not your Apple Account, not the advertising identifier (IDFA) and not the vendor identifier (IDFV). It is removed when you delete the app.
• Basic technical information: device model, iOS version, app version, language and time zone.
• Approximate location: when an event arrives, our server derives a country, region and city from your IP address. The IP address itself is not kept with the event. The app never asks for or uses your precise location.

We cannot link this information to your name or to any other identity, and we use it only to improve the app.

3. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PURCHASES

Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details. To check whether a subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier created for the installation and information about your purchases in this app (which plan, when it was bought, when it renews or expires). 4. PERMISSIONS

The app may ask for the following permissions. They are used only for the features described:

• Camera: to scan documents and take photos for conversion.
• Photos: to let you choose photos to convert and to save generated files.

5. WHAT WE DO NOT DO

• We do not show advertising and do not share data with advertising networks.
• We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
• We do not sell or rent data to anyone.

6. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Deleting the app removes your documents and the random installation identifier from your device. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it deleted or to object to its use. Because the usage statistics are not linked to your identity, we may need additional information from you to find the data your request refers to. Write to us at the address below.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. As we have no way to contact you directly, we advise you to review this page periodically.
